Joe Bisaccia

Joseph M. Bisaccia has been a member of the ASK Board Of Directors since January 2012. He has also served as a Board Member of the Foundation For Excellence in Yorktown Education since 2007 and has been a Committee Member of the Melissa D. Bisaccia Scholarship Fund since its inception in 1997. Employed in the Health Care Food Service profession since 1975, Mr. Bisaccia is presently the Director of Food, Nutrition & Purchasing Services at Cabrini of Westchester. He holds a BS degree in Business Administration from Concordia College and a AAS degree in Food Service Administration from Westchester Community College. Mr. Bisaccia was born in Yonkers, NY and has resided in Yorktown Heights since January 2000 with his wife Evelyn and son Joseph.



Tricy Cushner – President

Tricy Cushner has served as a member of The Alliance for Safe Kids Executive Board of Directors since September 2006. She served her first year as Treasurer and each following year as President. Mrs. Cushner has also been a member of The Yorktown Central School District PTSA since 2004 where she has served as both Treasurer and President. She remains active on the YCSD PTSA Council, Wellness Committee, PS We Care Committee, MESMS Building Team, Foundation for Excellence and is proud to be a Yorktown Lion. Mrs. Cushner holds a B.A. in Accounting from Columbia College, SC. She resides in Yorktown with her husband and three children.

Debra Georger – Treasurer

Debra Georger is and active member of the Yorktown community. She has served as a member of The Alliance for Safe Kids Executive Board of Directors since 2011. Mrs. Georger has served a two year term as Treasurer of the Mohansic PTA. She also served a two year term as treasurer of the Yorktown Central School District PTSA. Mrs. Georger’s other fundraising efforts include The Rosenthal JCC and The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. She was formerly a Senior Vice President at Young and Rubicam, a New York City advertising agency. She resides in Cortlandt Manor with her husband and twin daughters Emma and Marlee


Lagonia 200x200Loretta Lagonia

Loretta Rodriguez Lagonia has been a supporter of ASK since its onset and  joined the Executive Board of Directors in January 2013.  She has over twenty years working in community-based organizations, primarily in perinatal health and HIV/AIDS education and prevention.  She served as Executive Director of The Bronx Health Link from its inception to 2004.  In 2005, she joined her husband’s law office as Executive Administrator.  She is an Ad-Junct Professor for Mercy College, teaching  Organizational Leadership.  She is active in the community as a member of  the Circolo daVinci Club and Yorktown Lions.  She is a Co-Coordinator for the Yorktown Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).  Loretta has been married to long-time Yorktown resident, Salvatore, for 12 years.  She holds a BS from St. Francis College and a MS from Mercy College.


Kness 200x200Denise Kness

Denise Kness has been a supporter of ASK since 2009 and  joined the Executive Board of Directors in January 2013. As a Yorktown resident for the past 16 years, Denise has been an active volunteer for Lakeland Central School District for the past 7 years. She has also held the position of Thomas Jefferson Elementary Schools PTA Co- President and is presently the President of the Lakeland Education Foundation. Mrs. Kness has also worked closely with the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce for the past three years on its HealthYorktown 5K Walk/Run which brings both the Lakeland Central School District and the Yorktown Central School District together. The event promotes health and wellness for all our community kids and their families. Denise has been married to a life long Yorktown resident, Matt, for 15 years and has two children, Matthew &  Emily.


Karen 200x200Karen Profita

Karen Profita has been a coalition member of The Alliance for Safe Kids since 2005 and has served as an Executive Board of Directors since 2006. She was active in the creation of Youth Court and has remained a member of that Advisory Board as well.  She is a New York State Licensed Clinical Social worker and a New York State Certified School Social Worker who has been a District Social Worker in the Yorktown Central Schools since 2001, where she is also the Coordinator for PS We Care. She holds a Master’s degree in social work from Columbia University and a Post Master’s Certificate in Child and Adolescent Therapy from Fordham University.  She and her husband Timothy have lived in Yorktown since 1983 and have raised their children, who are both young adults, here.
