Christine Kelly-Edelman – Executive Director

Christine Kelly-Edelman joined the Alliance for Safe Kids in September of 2013. Ms. Kelly-Edelman provides leadership in all facets of coalition activities. She is responsible for ensuring the sustainability of the organization through prudent fiscal management, and overseeing the implementation of the strategic goals and objectives of ASK’s mission and action plan.

Ms. Kelly-Edelman is an active member of the Yorktown community. She has volunteered with several community organizations, including the Alliance for Safe Kids, Friends of the John C Hart Memorial Library, and Yorktown Swim and Dive Team. Ms. Kelly-Edelman has served as President and Treasurer of the Mohansic Elementary School PTA, Treasurer of the Mildred E Strang Middle School PTA, and Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary of the YCSD Council of PTSAs.

Prior to joining ASK, Ms. Kelly-Edelman garnered extensive professional experience in financial record keeping, fundraising, marketing, and policy and procedures development. Ms. Kelly-Edelman earned a BA from Bucknell University and MS from the University of Bridgeport.

Ms. Kelly-Edelman resides in Yorktown with her husband, two children, and family dog.

Liz Talbert – Coalition Coordinator

Liz Talbert joined the Alliance for Safe Kids in December of 2013. Ms. Talbert coordinates and facilitates the day-to-day operations of the coalition, and provides leadership to ASK staff and volunteers. She is responsible for implementing proven strategies for positive community change, and managing all aspects of coalition building, including networking and community outreach.

Ms. Talbert is a dedicated member of the Yorktown community. Prior to joining the ASK staff, she was a key volunteer. She is involved with both the Yorktown Athletic Club and the Huskers Athletic Club, and remains active as a PTA committee chair and volunteer in the Yorktown schools.

In addition to a background in sales and customer service, Ms. Talbert has professional experience working with school staff, students, and parents.

Ms Talbert resides in Yorktown with her husband and two sons.

Abby Tinari – Administrative Assistant

Abby Tinari has been on staff with the Alliance for Safe Kids since March 2011. Her extensive background in administrative support and customer service has served to keep the coalition moving forward and focused on its mission of empowering and educating Yorktown youth and their families.

Ms. Tinari is a vibrant member of the Yorktown community. In addition to working and volunteering for ASK, she is a Girl Scout leader and PTA volunteer and class parent in the Yorktown schools. She has been involved with Destination Imagination and in furthering the arts in our town.

Before becoming part of the ASK team, Ms. Tinari worked for 18 years in commercial and corporate aviation where she excelled in both sales and customer service.

Ms. Tinari resides in Cortlandt Manor with her husband and two children.
